ROADRUNNER

Roadrunners are fast, ground-hunting birds who eat lizards, birds, scorpions, insects, reptiles, and small mammals. Sometimes, snakes are too long for a roadrunner to swallow, so part of the snake will hang out of the roadrunner’s bill until the swallowed part digests.

Roadrunners can jump straight up into the air to grab inflight bats, hummingbirds,
and insects.
